I had a match, but she had a lighter.

Well, my birthday is in five days, and my wonderful/amazing/spectacular/fabulous/incredible boyfriend got me tickets to see Mumford & Sons and Cake in Kansas City tomorrow!!!! He is the greatest. Mumford & Sons quickly became my favorite band after I accidentally discovered them on Pandora a while back. A couple of months after I "liked" them on Pandora, a bunch of people started talking about them. Anyway, they are awesome. I've heard that they are going to play a few of their old songs tomorrow, but they are probably going to play a lot from there new cd that isn't out yet!! I can't wait!  I also love Cake. I've been listening to them since I was a sophomore in high school, I think...

I will definitely let you know how that concert goes. I am super, super excited. I have some sad news that I'd like to share with you, but today is not the day. Maybe I'll post that on Sunday; I need more time to process things.

Anyway, in other news, my shoulders were patched today because of how bad the blistering got. I looked like a football player/like I was wearing padding in my clothing. (which I guess I was)

Oh my gosh! That is so exciting and so sweet of him. I think I remember you talking about this a bit ago. But still, HOORAY!

I'm sorry you're still in pain. But maybe patching up the burns will help the healing process.

Feel better!
And happy birthday in a few days! HOORAY for June birthdays!

Ohmygosh, you have no idea how jealous I am of you getting to see Mumford & Sons right now! I could've seen them at a festival last year but they were playing at the same time as Queens of the Stone Age. Booooo. Anyway, I hope you have an incredible time.

One thing I'm not jealous of is your major sunburn. Ouch ouch ouch. My skin is terrible for getting burnt too, even though I wear heaps of sun cream. I got blister kinda burnt when I was a kid and I can still remember how terrible it was so I feel for you. Hope it clears up real soon!

You're a June baby too? Sweeeeet! I'd love to see Mumford & Sons live, I love them! Though I didn't like them for ages after a guy I was casually seeing before Scamp decided to "seranade" me but singing all the album out of tune. Every time I heard their songs for months afterwards, I'd get a shudder!

I'd a quick look at the post giving out about your sunburn a few days ago, but the connection in the house is dodgy to the max, so i couldn't comment. I *was* going to say I felt really sorry for you getting sunburnt, but we had our first sunny day of the year here, and I got burnt myself. I look like a zebra with stripes on my arms!
