Alright, so I've had some complaints about this "mushy gushy love stuff." That's fine- whatever. (haha)
So... on a non-mushy gushy love note, Antho and I have decided to start a weekly ritual of watching all of the movies from "The Hunt for the Worst Movie of All Time." It was my idea. (just sayin')
Naturally, we decided to watch The Notebook first. I used to like this movie... until A ruined it for me by introducing me to this website. I also own the movie, so it was a cheap choice.
"I’m probably not the original intended audience for The Notebook. I know that. But who is the intended audience for The Notebook? Is it jerks? It must be jerks. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with liking The Notebook, but there’s kind of something wrong with liking The Notebook, you know? I mean, this movie is actual garbage. It doesn’t pluck at your heartstrings so much as it barfs on your diarrhea-strings. It would be one thing if The Notebook was a made-for-Lifetime movie, which it basically is, I guess, but also it is not. It is a movie that was in movie theaters, and that was an actual cultural event at a certain point in our collective history. Whoops on us! In the future, when the planet is covered in water, and we are sitting on our hover-porches with our future grandkids, we are going to have to explain a few things: our selfish abuse of the environment, Ke$ha, and why anyone ever thought The Notebook was even remotely watchable, much less actually romantic. Three EQUALLY DIFFICULT subjects." - by Gabe
Thoughts? Did you like The Notebook? What do you consider to be the worst movie of all time?
We hope to watch one movie a week... so maybe in a few years we can at least narrow it down to the top three. Who knows... but I can honestly say that I can no longer watch The Notebook in the same way that I did before. This is terribly sad. :(
But not really.
Cheers :)

I have issues with The Notebook but I'd have to watch it again to tell you exactly what. I know that the way they got together bugged me.
The worst movie? It would have to be Cabin Boy
And by the way, I love the mushy stuff!
♥
I used to HATE the notebook with all my might, but now I find it a little cute. It's kind of repulsive and it is definitely a guilty pleasure kind of movie, but their relationship still seems like something to be envied of, a little. Even though we all know real love isn't like that.
I liked the mushy-gushy-love post, just so you know. ;)
And... I thought the notebook was predictable and smutty and immoral... but entertaining in a sappy way when not unbearably horrid. Does that make sense? We own it, haha.
xo.

When I went through my Nicholas Sparks reading phase, I remember thinking how much better the book was. Like Allie wasn't so coquettish. She actually let the guy be more of the lead in the relationship which was more appropriate for the time. But yeah, I still don't like the story that much. And I'm over reading Nicholas Sparks. Like forever.
I freaking hated the notebook! It made me so depressed. BOO. Okay I would have to say THEE worst movie of ALL time would have to be Dear John. I freaking hated that movie, and the only reason I watched it was because it was free on Netflix instant streaming. It made me want to die, srsly it was that bad. AND Ke$ha has to be the most embarrasing part of our generation. Seriously that girl makes me want to poke my eyes out. BLAH. This post made me laugh, good idea btw!
You already know how I feel about this movie. I hated it from the first time I saw it. They're relationship was dysfunctional. Hate that movie. Love that review. :). Thank you Anthony. :)
I hated that movie. Every one of my friends kept saying how amazing it was and how it made them cry. I finally watched it and when it was done they expected me to cry and say I loved it. But instead, I looked at them and said "That movie was awful...hated it." ... :)
Worst movie of all time though, I have no clue. I'm thinking those B horror flicks. I hate those movies. Gar.
