I’d like to forget,
but never be forgotten--
a scrapbook life
of paper cut-outs
bordering happiness,
with the burdens
conveniently brushed aside.
Maybe I'll use black and blue hurts
to paint a brilliant sky; perhaps
wastebaskets of tissues
and crumpled pages will build monuments
and write books
that tell tales of that agape love.
The scraps are on the ground,
simply waiting to be placed,
and the words
are hoping to be written.

Absolutely fantastic!
The best of the best!!
This is beautiful. I really relate with the very beginning: "I’d like to forget,
but never be forgotten"
Love it!
The last two lines are my favorite. I love them, they're perfect together.
Nice :-)
