In other news, Monday was Halloween, obviously, and I went as Flo from Progressive.


I had so much fun making the costume. Thrifting and Walmart really came through!! I even watched a tutorial on how to do her makeup... Ha.
Anthony went as Mayhem from All State, so we were cute, I guess you could say.


We went downtown the Saturday before, and everyone was yelling at me, constantly. It was a good yelling, like "Hey! It's Flo! I want to marry you!" Or, "Oh my gosh- that lady is annoying! Not you... just the character." Or, "FLOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" 
All in all, it was a success.


On Halloween, I wore the costume for work. I won first prize in the costume contest. Whoop! We had a daycare come through our facility and trick-or-treat at the residents' doors, and one little boy looked up at me and said, "Ummm... I've seen you on TV." It was so cute!


OHMYLANTA, I have a hilarious story: 
So I'm in the Walgreens parking lot on Halloween, running an errand for work. I'm stopped in a line of cars waiting to get a spot. A lady BACKS INTO ME. I pull over into a parking spot and get out to look at the damage. The rest isn't important.
I'M WEARING MY FLO COSTUME AND GETTING HER INSURANCE INFORMATION BECAUSE OF AN ACCIDENT.
I really should get a discount, or at least a commercial deal. I'm so brilliant and apparently ALWAYS PREPARED FOR CAR ACCIDENTS ON HALLOWEEN.

I had loads of fun with my orange hair the Friday before, and I loved trying on all of the wigs. It was a blast. As usual, I wish that I could post photos of my oldies, but I can't. :(

In other news, I'm eating a pomegranate, and it is delicious.

I recently got the MyMemories digital scrapbooking software, and it is amazing. I was asked to do a review of the software, and in return, I get to give one of my readers a free download of the software!!! I don't like people who advertise things, just for the sake of advertising, BUT I have no problem promoting something that I believe in. I did a lot of investigating and experimenting, and I can honestly say that this is a product worth checking out!

I love to scrapbook (you know, with real paper, scissors and glue), but this is extremely nice for the technological side of me. I'm definitely still going to do "real" scrapbooking, but this is going to be way cheaper for other things, like blogging. ;)  

My blog is often a way for me to document my life, so that I can look back on the different stages of my life. This is going to make my life look a lot prettier... haha. 

Anyway, there are endless possibilities with this software. Here is an example of a template possibility. You can just drag and drop your photos into those gray spots, and BAM! You're done!

You can also design your own page(s) from scratch. 

PLUS, there are tons of free things on their website and Facebook! There are new free downloads every Friday, and the website's freebies change all of the time. So far, I haven't paid for anything.

I've been absent

I am going to try and catch you all up on my hectic life, but I'm also going to try not to bore you.... 

As you know from my previous posts, finals are next week. I've been insanely busy trying to get all of that stuff taken care of. 

(I was pretty proud that I whipped this paper up in about 45 minutes. Procrastination at its best, I suppose.)

National Nursing Home Week is next week, so I've been doing a lot of preparing at work for that.  Tomorrow is 50s Day, so you can count on a few posts about those events. 

This is a sign I was working on for the ice cream floats booth tomorrow. Yahoo!

Spring is here!

I blew up a ton of balloons, and I "did not" suck helium from a couple of duds.

And of course, I couldn't help but offer the oldies a mustache.

Today is my day off. I got to enjoy it with Anthony, and it was an incredible day!  We went to Wal-Mart and got stuff for a picnic, and then we went to Busiek Park to hang out in the water/trails.  It was loads of fun. He killed a lot of "snakes" for me. ;)

After that, Anthony watched me play Portal and gave me tons of tips.  I've decided that I'm going to be a cool girlfriend and play video games.  I'm starting to love it.. Oh dear.

We have now watched tons of Buffy, and I am completely hooked. Ah well- at least it's almost summer! It's a guarantee that a tv show will suck the life out of my free time.
